• Anyone is free to submit! Beginners, students. professionals, all are welcome.
• All zine contributions are donation-based*
• Medium: photo, drawing, collage, poetry, essay, or mixed media considered.
• Any size or folded consideration is welcome. Get creative!
• Submit up to 3 original zines and up to 3 copies of each.
• Zine must be mailed to 3610 Baring Street Philadelphia, PA 19104,
or dropped off at Laurence Salzmann’s vendor booth at
the 2020 Photo Festival on September 12 at the Cherry Street Pier.

The Aura of Nostalgia — Keith McManus
McManus' presentation of
Western Pennsylvania through his lens.
Volver (Return) — Laurence Salzmann
A continuation of Salzmann's
study of Jewish life in Colombia.
Although our subjects are different, both projects are documentary in nature. Each explores how memory, place, and the passage of time shape our understanding of the present. Keith looks back toward the landscape of his childhood, while I return to communities that have become part of my own life's journey. Together, the two projects suggest that documentary photography is never simply about recording what is there—it is also about revisiting, remembering, and discovering new meaning through experience.
