Join us THIS SATURDAY 9/26 at the Salzmann Photography Center for a drop in zine making workshop with local photographer Andrew Piccone! All materials provided! Come fold, cut, create, and learn the ins and outs of making zines!!

Happening in conjunction with our current exhibition, Zines in Focus: Exploring Philadelphia, we’re also raising funds for AIR Philly. All proceeds and donations will go directly to Artists for Immigrant Rights Philadelphia. Help support a great cause and learn how to make some cool art!

From Philly-born to community transplants, Zines in Focus: Exploring Philadelphia showcases artists who are living, working, and creating in Philadelphia in photography, poetry, and visual art through zines.

Zines and other small book forms have historically connected people and communities through levels of accessibility and approachability traditionally lacking from fine art spaces. Reaching across community divides through simple folded paper exemplifies the need for inclusion in both the arts and the communities we love and depend on.

We invite you to celebrate the diversity of artists and communities in
Philadelphia through Zines in Focus: Exploring Philadelphia.

Opening was:
Thursday, September 17th from 5 to 8pm
at
3810 Lancaster Ave.

The show will be up in the gallery from September 17th through October 22nd. Viewing of the exhibition outside of the opening is appointment only. All appointments must be made via email at salzmannphotocenter@gmail.com.

There will also be a free zine workshop on
September 26th from 12 to 3pm
hosted by
Andrew Piccone in the Salzmann Photography Center.
